My History With Fast Food.

Fast food was never a big part of my childhood because my mom always liked to cook. She did so because that is how both of my parents grew up and they wanted the same for us. I think they also did it because they want us to be healthy so that later in life we won’t have as much health problems preferably any at all but of course that will only happen if we get really lucky because the chances of that happening are slim to none. Fast food was never a regular part of my childhood because we hardly ever went out to eat at fast food restaurants a reason behind that as well would be that we couldn’t afford to be going out to eat all of the time because we are a family of six and it is not very cheap to go even to a fast food restaurant and have to pay for six people even I agree on that. The only reason why it felt like a treat was because we never really got to eat there often therefore it was something that we found to be different than what we were regularly used to in our everyday lives. It was also a treat because we almost literally had to almost beg to go to Mc Donald’s or Burger King or any place simple like that. I remember that we would usually just go to Burger King because that is my mom’s favorite place because she likes the whoppers from there with the hot sauce inside them. It also became one of my favorites because I didn’t have many options to choose from. Even when we did go to fast food places we weren’t guaranteed the option to pick what we wanted to eat my parents would usually just order for us. At the time I never saw it as a bad thing because I didn’t really see anything as a bad thing at that time because I was so young. So I only thought of it as a regular food no different from what my mom made because it’s not really something that I craved because it is something that I wasn’t really used to getting all of the time.
Compared to my childhood I would say that I highly rely on it on a good and bad way. I rely on fast food financially because if it weren’t for fast food I would not be working where I am now, at Carl’s Jr. I also rely on it as food because as I have grown up a little and that I have gotten a little more independence I have grown to rely on it a lot. Because most of the days that I go to work depending on how many hours I work if I get a lunch break I do eat something because I have to and the employees get a fifty percent discount on meals while in work hours. This discount makes the food even more accessible than what it already is so it is easier to just eat there. The thing that I hate about fast food is that it is always so unhealthy. Even the things that look healthy like the salads are not very healthy. It is interesting how fast food has become from meaning almost nothing to me to becoming my provider in a way and I do try to stay away from having it all the time but it is sometimes inevitable
