This book.....

This book has affected me because I currently work at a fast food place. It has made me pay more attention to the procedures that happen daily at work. It makes me realize that people do turn to fast food constantly. It makes me think about having to up sell, for example when I have to ask the customers if they would like to up size their combo to a medium or large and how they find it so easy to go medium or large they don’t even really think about it they just do it almost instinctively. It certainly makes me feel a little guilty about having to up sell but that is just part of my job, and it is one of the main things that are expected from you. I believe that after reading this book I will definitely not be eating any hamburgers for a good while, but I already know myself and I know that I will eventually go back to my old ways. It has also definitely made me think of the obesity issues that are happening on the daily basis and that continue to grow at an amazing rate. I already had a good idea bout obesity but I didn’t know that it was actually happening this fast and not only in the United States but all over the World. It makes me understand that it takes willpower to stay away from fast food because it is everywhere and it is hard to stay healthy, that’s why I believe that it is important to really try to not eat out as much and make healthier choices.

  2. You shouldn't feel guilty for asking customers if they would like to go up a size, your only doing your job.

  3. Yes, I agree with TylorEvans as well. You should not feel guilty because it is your job. Having the Will Power to stay way from Fast Food is hard, its great that you have the WILL POWER!

  5. Eating fast food is delicious, but it kind of reminds me of doing drugs (not personally) but people find it so hard to quit.

  9. Yeah I can imagine how hard it is to try to sell customers a larger size meal. I use to have to do that & it sucked. Try not to feel too guilty, it is after all their choice to upgrade or not your just doing your job. Hopefully you wont have to work this holiday weekend because itll be a mad house & youll be asking them to upgrade a lot. Good luck!
